Hi guys! I rarely ever do workshops in my own city of Los Angeles so this is a truly special and rare thing. I am teaming up with Marie Azam and Yoga of Hope to raise money to end childhood cancer. I am doing this in honor of my friends Jana and Eric Chandler, who lost their sweet boy Dylan to cancer. More information can be found here.
It is THIS Saturday at Wanderlust in Hollywood and space is very limited so please email Marie at email@example.com to let her know you are coming. This event will be catered so we need to know exactly how many folks are attending. You can leave a donation online here or bring cash/check to the event. Minimum suggested donation is $20 but please donate whatever you can. And there is free parking! This is going to be such a special last minute surprise event.
I am truly over the moon to be involved. Free food, free parking, music, a workshop by me? What an amazing way to spend a Saturday! I know it’s hard of most of us to commit (at least it is for me, ha) and doing things last minute is tough, but this is such an important cause and did I mention, free food and music? Let’s rally and come together as a community!
We only have 70 spots so please email Marie asap at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to attend with subject YOGA OF HOPE. I cannot wait to see you for this surprise pop-up event! You do not have to have any yoga experience at all. Just be a human being. Bring an open heart and a journal. Mats are provided. The only cost of this is a DONATION! You can learn more about the organization where the money is going to here: https://www.barncancerfonden.se/en/i-want-to-donate/. Read more about my friend Rachel Brathen’ s mission here.
A note from Marie Azam, who lovingly put this event together.
This past year has been one of the most difficult that I have ever endured.
Stress was literally causing my body to deteriorate. A few months ago fate
intervened and I stumbled on a yoga class. Now I can’t go a day without
It was at this time that I began to follow Rachel Brathen, aka “Yoga Girl”.
She and her mother Shama Persson (founder of Cuddlings), serve as
guides and inspiration to me and many others around the world on a daily
To show my thanks to Rachel and the yoga community, I am hosting the
first of many global events here on Los Angeles this Saturday, November
18th at 1:30pm, benefitting Yoga of Hope. Yoga of Hope is a collaboration
whose vision is a world free of childhood cancer.
We will have some amazing guest
speakers. We will even have the chance to practice a little yoga that day
with the awesome Jennifer Pastiloff (all levels and ages welcome to
participate, though this part is completely optional).
A light vegan buffet will be served.
Chairs and yoga mats provided.
Won’t you join me for this important cause?
Space is very limited, so please sign up as soon as you are able.
With Love and Gratitude,
