Melissa Carroll is the author of the poetry chapbook The Karma Machine (winner of the Peter Meinke Prize in 2011) and the editor of Going OM: Real-Life Stories on and off the Yoga Mat, featuring essays from Dani Shapiro, Ira Sukrungruang, and Claire Dederer, with a foreword by Cheryl Strayed. Melissa’s writing has been featured on MindBodyGreen.com, Elephant Journal, in Mantra + Yoga Magazine, Creative Loafing, Poetry Quarterly, New South Review, and many other literary journals. She has appeared on Daytime TV, CBS San Francisco, iHeartRadio and on WMNF Radio. Her second poetry collection is forthcoming from ELJ Publications in summer 2016.
