Jean Hatoum

Jean Hatoum is a Lebanese writer, poet, and essayist, and the author of I Wrote So I Would Not Fade. He began writing in January 2026 during a severe mental-health crisis as a way to transform silence into words and create space for others to feel seen, heard, and less alone. His work explores trauma, resilience, memory, and hope through poetry, prose, and personal essays.
