I love your blogs and really love your video blogs. this one in particular made me think of all the kind things people have done for me but also made me think of my own actions and how people often tell me how kind I am. it’s the nicest compliment I think I enjoy getting. Because as the singer Jewel once sang “in the end, only kindness matters, in the end.” How true. People will always remember the kind things that you do for them. The world needs more kind people. and random acts of kindness. So I will continue to pay it forward and commit random acts of kindness everyday. thank you for this blog. loved it.

I just love it when people are kind and when they feel good about it. The way that you feel about being kind is so important. Because you cannot truly be kind and your kindness will not be as well received if you don’t feel good about it. I always tell the people close to me, “Don’t do anything for me that you don’t want to do.” because it is important for us to stand in our authenticity. But, when a person is kind just because they enjoy being kind to you, there is nothing better and you FEEL that wonderful vibration and I am lucky enough to have to had many of those kindnesses directed toward me. I agree, be kind, and feel abundant when you do it because kindness makes you abundant.
I totally agree…the love in our universe is the strongest force. 🙂
Damn straight: “Be the change you wish to see…” Gandhi totally had it right.
And so do you, Jen.
The kindest thing a stranger has ever done for me:
I had just walked outside a restaurant to sit on a bench and drink in some fresh air, feeling scared and freaked out about what was happening with my body…my mind was spinning, my breath was constricted, I felt like my heart was ready to explode.
Doing my best to take deep breaths, and feeling like a failure, suddenly there was an angel next to me.
I wouldn’t have expected an angel to show up in the body of an old biker, wearing denim and chaps, rugged and ragged from life on the road, but life is always full of magic and unexpected miracles.
His deep, calm voice was soothing, “You’re having a panic attack. Relax your head and let it hang between your knees. Focus your mind on some place beautiful, some place you feel at ease and happy. Just think about those good feelings,” he reassured me.
Suddenly, I was able to breathe, my vision expanded, my body relaxed. I lifted my head and saw the eyes of my angel…warm, kind, and oh so peaceful.
“Thank you, thank you so much for helping me,” I offered.
Never did I know his name or see him again, and yet his kindness lingers over ten years later…his generosity of spirit and loving heart saved me in that moment.
He reached out and helped when it was not required…just inspired.

And for this, I am ever grateful.
