LISA PORTER is a Professor in the Theatre and Dance Department at UC San Diego, a Producer, and a Stage Manager. She has worked extensively, both nationally and internationally, with productions by Robert Wilson, Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, Hal Hartley, Jonathan Demme, Laurie Anderson, Anne Bogart, and Richard Foreman. She investigates collaboration in the context of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural environments in her teaching and research, with a focus on the intersection of the performative environment and recent developments in psychology, group dynamics, and neuroscience. She holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and has served as a visiting faculty member at Yale. She has published two articles related to her work. This is the first time she has written anything for publication about her entanglement with Autism.
